So we found out we had a meeting with a big company and we wanted to make a good impression.
Naturally, the first thing we decided to do was print up our business cards. Only we had to have them by the next day and we still haven't created a logo or figured out what we wanted on our business cards.
So, brilliant man that I am, I designed a temporary card and took the file to Kinko's at 3 in the morning to get 1 page printed for each of us which would ideally leave us with 12 business cards each.
At 3:50am, I left Kinkos with no business cards...

d more)For almost an hour, the two guys at Kinkos tried to print these double-sided business cards. Every single time they tried the paper would jam and they'd have to print it out again. At one point they managed to get one side printed but it messed up on the second side.
After 45 minutes of this, I decided to leave and luckly across the street was a 24-hour copy centre that Staples Business Depot operates.
I dopped off the file and the guy told me to come back in 10 minutes. At this point, I had stopped and grabbed myself BK meal because they switch to their breakfast menu at 4am and I wasn't in the mood for eggs and bread.
1 Veggie Whopper later, I walk in and find out that the Business Depot copier is having issues and leaving black ink marks all over the page. The guy says he'll have to put out a service call on the machine.
He handed me the ruined copy for free and I saw at least 2 or 3 cards on each page that we could salvage.
This morning, when I got to David's house, we sat in his front hallway cutting up business cards, none of them ended up being the same size.
I love how professional we are. |
